The calculated equivalents widths of some lines of SiO in the umbral spectrum suggest that strong lines of Si²⁸ O¹⁶ , Si²⁹ O¹⁶ , and Si³⁰ O¹⁶, may be present in the sunspot ultraviolet spectrum. We also find that between 37000 and 47000 cm ¯¹, the quasi-continuous absorption of SiO dominates all other absorptions. |
