dc.description.abstract The geometrical elements of the eclipsing binary system AR Lacertae have been obtained by Fourier analysis of the light changes in the frequently-domain which was developed by Kopal (1975 a, b, c, d, e) and compared with our earlier (Srivastave, 1981) results obtained by employing Russell and Merrills's (1952) method. The absolute dimensions have been obtained using the spectroscopic elements given by Sanford (1951), and the new geometrical elements. The primary component lies fairly on the Main Sequence while the secondary component falls above the Main Sequence. The Roche constants indicate that the system seems to be a detached one apparently. However, evolutionary discussion shows that the possibility of AR Lac being in a semidetached state of evolution can not be ruled out. en_US
