Abstract:
AGNs are the tiny, central, compact regions present in certain galaxies and produce tremendous luminosity. The emissions from AGN emerge over an exceptionally wide range of frequencies showing very distinctive spectra. AGNs are classified into two broad classes: Radio Loud and Radio Quiet. It has a subclass called Seyfert Galaxies that are distant objects which can be reasonably spotted because of the strong UV continuum and emission lines, their high level of luminosity in X-ray region or as extended objects in the IR region.
In this report, MAXI satellite data was used to study 21 Seyfert Galaxies and Discrete Correlation Function technique (DCF) is employed to find the correlation between hard and soft X-ray bands from the emission. Correlation is found in some of the Seyfert Galaxies and a connection between both bands is seen by plotting fluxes on both axes with their corresponding errors in gnu plot. Hence these graphs are further studied and analyzed.
