dc.description.abstract	In the present work, we report the preliminary results of imaging polarimetry of comet C/2009 P1 Garradd at phase angles 28.2˚, 28.1˚ and 21.6˚. The polarimetric observations of comet were carried out on 21th & 22 nd of March, 2012 with the 2-m telescope of IUCAA Girawali Observatory, Pune,India & on 23rd of May, 2015 with the 1.04-m Sampurnanaand Telescope of ARIES, Nainital, India. both broadband and narrowband narrowband filters were used in the observation.	en_US
